Email Setup for Netscape 4.61
Requirements
You will need the following information.
- Netscape 4x for Windows
- Your login ID (user name) ex: (joeuser)
- Your password
Goto "Start" -> "Programs" -> "Netscape
Communicator" ->
Launch "Netscape Navigator"
Next Goto "Edit" -> "Preferences"
Click On "Navigator" -> In the "Location"
field, type in http://www.nethere.com/members/
(This will make your browser's default page NetHere's member
page.)
Double Click On "Mail & News Groups" -> Select
the "Identity" field, In the "Your Name"
field, type in your Full Name. Next, in the "Email Address"
field, type in your email address. IE: username@nethere.com
Next, Click On "Mail Servers"
Next, Click On "ADD"
Next, type "NetHere" in the Server Name: field.
In the Server type drop down, Select "POP3 Server
In the User name: field, Type in your username.
(Note: Your username should be typed in low-caps and is the
portion of your E-mail address before the @ symbol. IE: jondoe@nethere.com)
Makes sure to check Remember Password.
Next, click on the POP tab.
Now uncheck the Leave Message on Server check box.
Hit OK
Next, in the Mail Servers section:
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field, type in mail.nethere.net
In the Outgoing mail server user name: field, type in NetHere
Now click OKThank you for signing up with NetHere.
